MATCH INTERNATIONAL BRAZIL - TUNISIA
Five-time men’s FIFA World Cup winners Brazil will take on Tunisia in Lille on Tuesday 18 November, kick-off 8.30pm (CET).
The 50,000+ capacity Decathlon Arena will play host to the second of Brazil’s two November friendlies in Europe, following the Seleção facing Senegal in London on the preceding Saturday.
The two teams last met in Paris in 2022, with a rampant Brazil winning 5-1 in an international friendly ahead of the FIFA World in Qatar. Their only other meeting took place in 1973 in Tunis with a dominant Brazil running out 4-1 winners.
Brazil have already secured qualification to FIFA World Cup 2026, following victory against Paraguay in June. This maintains the nation's remarkable record of having featured at every edition of the World Cup.
Tunisia's record in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers was nothing short of spectacular. The Carthage Eagles finished with nine wins from ten games, scoring 22 goals and remarkably conceding none. The North Africans will participate in the global finals for the seventh time in their history.
Tunisia Head Coach Sami Trabelsi, who played for Tunisia in the World Cup in France in 1998, said: “It doesn’t get much bigger than playing Brazil in France – a country that has a sizeable Tunisian community who turned up in their thousands to support us when we last played here three years ago.
“It’s going to be an exciting game and certainly a great test for us as we start our preparations for next year’s World Cup.”
